I was trying to make a color band instead of the granny square. That's the reason why I start with 71DC in each row. I would suggest you start from grama square band, then you don't need to add 2 row DC on each side to match the width. I didn't take picture of the 1st verion. But I attached the diagram for the colorwork I designed. For the 2nd version, just without the turtle neck collar. simply sc for the first rnd and reverse sc the second rnd.
