Gauge: (in 4" x 4"/10cm x 10cm)

24 sts x 31 rows in stockinette st. (US 5 knitting needle)

BM = beginning of round marker K = knit Kfb = knit 1 in the front and back M1L = make 1 knit stitch left P = purl PM = place marker PM1, 2, 3 = place 1st, 2nd, 3rd marker rep = repeat RS = right side skp = slip, knit, pass slipped stitch over SM = slip marker SM1, 2, 3 = slip 1st, 2nd, 3rd marker st(s) = stitches WS = WS

Pattern Notes:

  • Difficulty Level: Intermediate
  • Sizing in pattern will be listed as 12/18m, 1/2 (3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10) 11/13 {XS, S, M, L} XL. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. You may circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning.
  • Fits waist circumference: 19, 20 (21.5, 22.5, 23.5, 24.5) 25 {26, 28, 30, 34} 38 inches with 1-4 inches positive ease. Pictured 3 year old in size 3/4.
  • This skirt is knitted from top down in rounds. All purl stitch in this pattern will be used as a guideline for picking up and knit the upper ruffle. The elastic is added to provide more support and easily to adjust or replace so that the skirt could last longer especially for growing kids.
